Joinery & Cabinetmaking process

We provide a structured approach to joinery that bridges the gap between design intent and site reality. Whether we are developing a concept in-house or resolving a package for an external designer, our focus is on technical accuracy and manufacturing quality. By managing the entire process from our own workshop, we ensure that every commission is built to the correct specification and delivered in line with the wider construction programme.

Design & Material

We begin with your brief, discussing the balance between aesthetics, functionality and budget. Once the vision is clear, we move into the design phase. All commissions include a design fee, covering the development of initial drawings through to the final technical set that guides the workshop.

We work with a diverse range of solid timbers, high-quality sheet materials and engineered surfaces. While we hand-select hardwoods for their character, we utilise advanced substrates to ensure the structural stability required for architectural joinery.

Our workshop is constantly evolving, adapting our techniques to incorporate the latest material technologies. We actively explore new surface finishes and technical innovations to ensure every commission is durable, sustainable, and executed to a professional standard.

Fabrication

Our standard lead time is 8–12 weeks from the initial payment. If your project has a critical deadline, this is established during the briefing stage, with formal programming schedules issued to professional teams to ensure site coordination.

We keep clients & professionals informed throughout the build and encourage visits to our workshop whenever possible to see the project come to life before it reaches site.

Pricing & Payment

The cost of our work is determined by the current market rate for materials and the time it takes to make each project. Once a design is agreed, we create a quotation for your approval.

After approval we request a 50-60% deposit to secure the production slot in the workshop. For bespoke furniture the remaining balance is due when the piece is completed, prior to delivery.

For larger joinery projects, the remaining balance is split into two stage payments, with the final payment due prior to completion.

Delivery & Installation

Our specialist installation team is experienced in working alongside main contractors and multiple trades on active building sites. We understand the logistical requirements of a professional project, ensuring our delivery and fitting are coordinated to meet the site programme.

Costs for delivery and installation are calculated following a site survey. Once we have assessed the access and scale of the project, these services are clearly detailed within your final quotation. This ensures that every installation is planned with precision and executed to integrate perfectly with the finished build.
